Metairie, LA:

We can all agree that 2020 was rough in many ways; there was the good, the bad, and the ugly. With so much craziness and uncertainty in the world these days, let’s choose to focus on
the good.

On May 10, 2021, the winner of the annual St. Michael Special School Car Raffle received the keys to a brand new 2021 Toyota Camry, which was donated by the Ray and Jessica Brandt Family Foundation. Through the loyalty, generosity, and kindness of the New Orleans community, the school raised over $100,000, and all funds raised benefit St. Michael Special School’s students.

Jessica Brandt commented, “The work St. Michael Special School is doing matters! They help learners with developmental disabilities discover their strengths and reach their full potential. With so much uncertainty in the non-profit fundraising arena, we must find ways to keep giving back even when we can’t be together. Fundraising for SMSS is something that brings us all closer and helps us focus on what is most important: supporting our community and our future generations.”
