The Krewe of BOO

In the city of New Orleans, adults can look forward to Halloween fun too! The Krewe of BOO is a fun-filled event that attracts visitors from near and far. Plus, it’s innovative – making this event unlike any other New Orleans parade. This party in the streets features elaborately themed floats, walking groups, people decked out in costumes, and even soulful marching bands. Trust us, The Krewe of BOO is something that you definitely don’t want to miss.

Making a Change

It is typical New Orleans parade fashion to throw tons of items to visiting crowds. Usually, beads are the object of choice. However, things have been taken to a whole new level with The Krewe of BOO celebration. Instead of throwing beads that will most-likely be discarded, useful items like food and local collectibles are thrown down to the crowd. This is what you can expect to receive during this year’s toss:

  • Eco Friendly cups from Giacona Container Company (Louisiana made)
  • Pralinettes from Aunt Sally’s (Made in New Orleans)
  • PJs Coffee Frac Packs (Made in New Orleans)
  • Collectible Medallion Beads (Imported)
  • Chee Wees from Elmer’s Fine Foods (Made in New Orleans)
  • Plush Toys (Imported)
  • Doubloons (Made in the USA)
  • Assorted Beads (Imported)

Not only is this innovation lots of fun, it’s also better for the environment due to the reduced lack of waste!
