Crawloween

Head out to the Crawloween celebration at the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. During this upcoming event, you and the kids can celebrate with bug-themed trick-or-treating, pumpkins, contests, and Halloween themed cookies. Plus, of course, there will be creeping crawling insects present as well. Your kids will have the opportunity to learn about spiders, scorpions, and roaches through the telling of scary myths. Oh, and these bugs will be there to listen in on the spooky stories with you.

Are you interested in attending this upcoming event? It takes place on October 29-31, 2017. Kids under 12 years old can receive a discounted admission at $3 for each child, if wearing a bug costume. For further information about this event, click here.

The New Orleans Bar Scene

The city of New Orleans is overflowing with amazing bars throughout its area. Considering that this city hosts Mardi Gras each year, it is safe to say that you can expect to have a good time here. However, the fun doesn’t have to stop once the beads have hit the cement. No – instead, you can hit the city streets to check out the local bar scene.

If you haven’t yet made plans to visit the bars within the area, Halloween is the perfect opportunity to do so. Dress up in your favorite costume and head out to spot that you’ve always wanted to try. There will likely be great specials available as a way to celebrate the holiday. Just be sure to drink responsibly and have a designated driver to lead you home.
